Integration is Essential

Integration is not stagnant.

It’s what keeps the river flowing, it’s what supports the river in flowing.

It’s deep connection to self to life

It’s spaciousness - creating spaciousness

It’s movement

Gentle and deliberate and nuanced titrating

It’s refinement

If there’s no space for integration you leave yourself open to the snap back

You feel relief for a short period of time and then you’re right back where you started.

And this can become a pattern - a cycle - a loop:

Of release and going back with no real change in your physiology

Without integration you are keeping yourself stuck

Integration is the incorporating of all you have just learned or experienced, of turning the knowledge into wisdom

Of letting it all steep

It is not doing nothing

It is essential for real physiological shift and change

Integration is letting it settle deep into your knowing into your bones

So that things can be different next time

If we skip integration we are riding this rise and release wave or loop in our nervous system

The nervous system doesn’t actually regulate, there's no more capacity built - your capacity stays the same

Your ventral vagal tone doesn’t change

There needs to be integration

Slow steady deliberate times of settling its not standing still or nothing

Its deep connection to self, to what is, to the present moment

Thats integration
